UGrad Major Choice : Interests or Technicals ( T15 School with Nepo )
I know that people say major doesn't matter as long as your gpa is high and you have good technicals/networking. For context im at CMU (semi target) and have the option of doing BA History + Minors in Math + CS , or pursuing BS Applied Math and add econ/cs electives. I am lucky to have nepotism connections at JPM, GS, Warburg Pincus, and McKinsey.
How would one of you navigate this decision and do you have any advice, hopefully this doesnt come off arrograntly, thanks
