UNC Kenan-Flagler vs USC Marshall vs NYU Stern for undergrad
Hey everyone,
I'm an international student trying to decide between UNC Kenan-Flagler, USC Marshall, and NYU Stern (BTE) for undergrad, with the goal of breaking into investment banking and eventually making it to Wall Street.
Obviously, Stern has the best location and strongest IB placements, but I’ve heard UNC KFBS and USC Marshall have solid pipelines as well, especially for specific banks and regions. Given factors like placement rates, networking, on-campus recruiting, and alumni strength, how do these three schools compare?
Simply put, where would I have the best chance at making it to an elite bank (e.g., Morgan Stanley / Goldman Sachs)?
Would love to hear insights from anyone with experience recruiting from these schools!
Thanks in advance!

UNC shouldn’t even be considered here. If you want WC, go Marshall for sure and if you want NY, go Stern. Haven’t seen many stern alums on the WC but have seen some Marshall alums on east coast. Make sure you know your shit or else you won’t get into the Marshall IB club. Source: me (I go to usc and got an offer from a Mid tier BB in NYC)
