UNC Online MBA - Worth it?

I am currently a manager in TAS and have received admission into UNC's online MBA program. My goal is to eventually obtain a position on the buys-side, either lower-middle market PE or even Corp Dev. I understand IB experience is pretty essential for these roles and wouldn't mind doing a stint in IB. My undergrad is from a non-target with very little to no presence in IB, PE, etc. Overall, I am trying to determine if an online MBA would actually help me achieve these goals. I understand no matter what, these types of roles are an uphill battle for someone in my position. I would also aggressively network through the UNC alumni and student network to help build connections in these areas. Any advice or thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
