Undergrad --> MBA - Looking for some advice
Ok, I'm looking for a bit of advice about academia and what steps I should take from my current position. I'm currently about to finish up my B.S in Bio-Chemistry and can be through with under-grad.
However, my ambition is to eventually work in IB and climb the ranks. I've talked to some employers in the Memphis area which I'm relatively close to and they all seem to say that not having a BBA or BS in finance is a killing point in my application to entry level analyst positions.
Should I go back for another 1 or 2 semesters to finish up and get the BBA/BS in order to move onto the lower ranking positions? Or, are there career opportunities somewhere in the investment/equity markets for someone with a life sciences and healthcare background?
Either way, I'm looking at a path that will propel me to attaining an MBA in the future, and would love some input.
Thanks all.
