University College London - Target School?
Hi everyone! I'm from Singapore and I intend to pursue a career in BB IBD. I would like to seek the advice of peeps around here. In your opinion is UCL a target school? If so is UCL a regional target or a global target?

The UCL name is very good for the IB recruiting season in London. Marginally less "prestigious" than LSE and Oxbridge. Don't think it holds the same weights in Asia and the US. Oxbridge and LSE are way much better in Asia and only Oxbridge is great in the US. But it's still pretty solid.
LSE is really recognizable in the U.S (Edit.. sorry didn't know this thread so old)
target school in the UK, anywhere else probably not heard of
probably 5th best University in the UK, so very good for London BB IBD. Less so for overseas (but tbh anywhere other than US should be achievable).
It is a target school in UK and it has one of the top BSc program in the world for Economics. Having said that, it is not a target school for USA and it will not help you to get recruited there since there is not any on-campus recruitment for the USA. I don't know how it works for Asia.
Anyway, if you have all the other relevant stats, you will be able to get interviews for IBD (UK based).
UCL's Econ program is pretty strong I heard. Not only in UK but even in places like SG/HK. Of course its still no oxbridge or LSE.
