University of Dayton Acceptance...Top Scholarship Offered.

As the title states, I have been accepted into the University of Dayton for Finance, and been offered their top scholarship. My father is an alumni and I have a strong attachment to this school. Moreover, their Davis Center for portfolio management looks strong, as well as DIBC, their investment banking club.

In short, can someone provide me with some insight on the University of Dayton? How are they on the street? I want to work in the south, more specifically Austin, Nashville, DFW, Kansas City, and Atlanta, in investment banking or private equity or even another role in high finance.

It is definitely a non-target, but that shouldn't be the only qualifying factor for deciding where you go to school. While I don't know anyone from Dayton specifically, I have met many people in IB from other non target schools. If you aren't set on NYC or going to an EB/BB then it is absolutely possible to get into IB out of Dayton, will just have to work harder to get your foot in the door most likely, hope this helps.

Unlike some of the above commenters I worked with a very bright emerging guy on Wall Street from Dayton during my sophomore summer. Just fucking get after it. Network with everyone early on. Double major. Perfect GPA.

Make somebody look at your application and say I have to talk to this kid bc he’s going to outwork the nepo babies from Wharton

I would love to get this guy's name so I can contact him. I'm really interested in the school as I've been offered the top scholarship, honors college, and my dad is an alum. Can you DM me his info?
