I've brought it down to these two schools and am hoping for some input if you would..
I don't have a spectacular IB background or anything - I have about 4 years of financial sales experience and a bunch of FINRA licenses. I also will be sitting for the CFA level II exam in June. I hope to graduate with the CFA finished.
My big concern is about network as I really want to live/work in Denver after school. Obviously DU would be better for that but the downside is I'm concerned about how rigorous a program it is.
I think IU is a better school with a great job placement ranking but I don't want to be placed in NY/Chi really. Ideally, I'd like to move into Equity Research.
Any ideas or know anyone who went to either?

You answered your own question. If you want the best MBA program and career opportunities, Kelley. if you want Denver, stick with UD.
Just visited Indianas MBA school last month and it was sick. You should think about visiting. Very good school.
Indiana is actually a somewhat respected business school. University of Denver is not.
I know a few undergrad Indiana guys on the street. They all talk about how the network is growing. Don't know about MBA.

Not exactly encouraging figures!
This is for MBA, sorry I didn't mention that. DU says they are ranked #2 for small MBA programs in the world, IU is ranked #15 in BusinessWeek.
I have a friend who went to DU for undergrad, it's def a well connected school. His dad was the governer of a state and a lot of his friends from that school are well connected in their own ways (children of wallstreet exec's, born into money, etc..)
That's kind of why I struggle. IU is hands down better academically, I still need to investigate their alumni in the west.

IU is clearly the better school. IU will give you a shot at Chi, and maybe NYC. Denver is not an IB program, and you will be hard pressed to pull it off even in Denver.
Again, as I often state on this board, not to be a dick but if you want IB neither of these MBAs are going to do it for you...while I'm not saying it's impossible, you're going to have to hustle hard, the odds are against you, and the chance of failure and a debt ridden life is high.
