University of Illinois- Urbana Champaign MSF Interview

Normally I would pester you Anthony, but I don't think I've got anything serious to ask.

Is this the MFE program or Master's of Finance program? If it's the MFE program, it would be interesting to see what the MFE program is doing to leverage the school's world-class Accy and Engineering programs...

I'll bring up the MFE topic, but it is mainly about their MSF.

I would ask for the low down dirty dirt on any and all U of I grads who went to work on Wall Street over the past five years; focusing on those with strong quantitative aptitudes, goofy gray suits and top programming abilities:)

Hahaha... I would start by asking if they remember any undergrads from four years ago or if they were too busy doing research.

That's how a land grant research institution works- undergrads are a silly annoyance whose sole purpose is to provide tuition funding for research.

How many end up in Chicago when their goal is New York? What types of positions do grads get (second year analysts, associates? Why is tuition so high for in state students?

Could you ask how large an equity stake IP has in the school? He must be making a bundle given all the recruitment he does for them, lol.

Yup. Hard to turn down those breakfasts with the overcooked rice pudding- err, great tasting rice and other finely-cooked foods.

In all seriousness, how long has their engineering program been at this level? My dad went there in the early 80s for his masters in Civ E, should I find his grad school buddies?
