US MBA worth it for international student
I'm from a developing country and got my undergrad from a target school in europe (HSG) after which I started my IB career at a MM Bank in London. I'm fed up with high finance and don't really want to get a buyside job. Instead I'm more interested in a corporate/startup career. My current goal is to work in the US, I realized the best way would be through an MBA once the covid situation is over.
Assuming I'll get into a well-known but not elite MBA School like Emory, USC etc. what are my chances of getting a job in the US, is it easy for the internationals at these schools?
As an international, don’t do a MBA in the US if it’s not Top 15. And prioritize schools that have a strong international brand (M7 + Yale, Tuck, NYU, Berkeley). Emory/USC-type schools are decent but not top tier, which means that you’ll have a harder time getting sponsored
Quite depressing to read but how competitve are management/finance roles in the US which do sponsor?
