UT Austin IB Placement?
How does UT Austin place into IB? Which firms do students usually go to? Currently deciding which schools to apply to next year.

It's good for finance, especially Houston and Dallas. I'm not sure how that'll change with the Oil and gas industry being as bad as it is.
It's very good if you can get into UT BHP or some other honors, but you'll have a much easier chance getting in from a school like Georgetown.
I see a lot of UT students at EBs. I think they are a target for Evercore, Moelis, and Rothschild
Their kids place pretty well across most offices. I have 3 in my EB intern class of ~50. All 3 NYC showing you won’t be limited to Houston if you want to go elsewhere.
I would make sure you get into BHP. If not I’ve heard you will be competing with hundreds of students and it will be hard to stand out.
