UVA Masters in Commerce vs. Georgetown Masters In Management
Hey - wanted to see if anyone had a take on UVA's Masters in Commerce (Finance track) compared to Georgetowns Masters In Management (MiM)? I'm a liberal arts major, so looking into these one year accelerated programs as a means to add a good name to my resume, and try to break into IB. Any advice or feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Would recommend a master's in finance instead. Vandy/Emory/UChicago/Rochester etc.
Thoughts on the masters in Finance program at Babson?
I would do the Georgetown MSF program instead of the MiM if you are considering going to IB.
If you’re considering MSF programs in general, I would consider vandy, MIT, Georgetown, UT Austin, Rochester, or Princeton. You’ll get a fair shot at IB if you put in the work in.
Getting the MSF degree might get you into the first round, but you need to network/know your technicals and behaviorals/modeling in order to get the job.
I think UVAs MSF or MS of Commerce is pretty good too.
