UVa, McGill or Wake Forest

I am currently a Canadian senior interested in entering investment banking after university. I have been accepted to: 1) UVa 2) McGill Management 3) Wake Forest 4) Babson so far for undergrad.

Which university do you feel would prepare me best to enter IB as well as which school has the best reputation on the street?

Any help at all is greatly appreciated!

I only know one person that went to wake and he is kind of a choad.

UVA is awesome, go there.

I went to McGill and if you're a solid student, you will get the interviews. If you get into the investment mgmt program then you will get the jobs, they fight hard for every kid in that program... trust me.

I want to add to this. Even if money was no object, I'd probably still go to Mcgill. If you're a top student you'll still get offers from all of the same firms that a top UVA student would get.

It MAY be more difficult to get a finance job in the U.S. coming from Mcgill, but who cares? More deals are being done in Canada right now, the dollar is at parity (or above), and the Canadian government hasn't imposed a ton of new regulation on the banking industry following the credit crunch.

Internationally, Mcgill is more respected academically than UVA. May not mean much now, but if you ever wanted to do graduate work the Mcgill brand name will take you further.

And have you ever been to Montreal? The city is fucking awesome. Who the hell wants to live in Charlottesville?

More deals being done in Canada right now? Are you shitting me? My college buds who went to prep schools and fucked around applied and got into McGill as their backup schools because they couldn't get into any ivies or top 30 schools in the US

Get these Canadian asshats out of here
