Wharton vs. Kellogg EMBA
I have searched around and haven't found this addressed directly. Also, things are evolving, with some of the rankings shifts and questions swirling about WTF is going on at Wharton with declining apps in the FT program and all so I am interested in fresh opinions.
So imagine a candidate:
Working in AM at a mutual fund
Committed to the idea of getting an EMBA
Approximately equal travel time/cost to PHL or Chicago
Interested in staying in MF world or possibly going HF or even PE/VC/entrepreneurial down the road
(I know the last statement smacks of naïveté so just assume AM if that works better for you)
Accepted to both programs
It seems to me that given that scenario, it's Wharton not even close, but I am interested in all thoughtful discussion. I visited both programs and Kellogg was very strong but Wharton just seemed a cut above in organization, quality of students/faculty, etc, and from my perspective has more brand in AM. Kellogg's new building does sound like it will be the bomb, but it won't help the class of '16 much.
Thanks for reading!
Have you looked at the Poets & Quants for Execs site yet? Google it and check out their rankings. They do a pretty good job of explaining why Wharton dominates.
Also is Booth out of the question now?
I'd say Wharton followed by Booth.
