What career paths are available as an MBA "reset"
Had a short stint in IB (<2 years) and then moved into a corporate strategy role (internal consulting at a F500). Thinking about an MBA and would like to use it moreso to reset back into finance rather than to move up in corporate as I haven't really liked the corporate environment. Other than IB / consulting (don't want to do corporate so no FLDPs), is there any other options available as a "training program" to reset career-wise? I know I can't do post-MBA PE but would my short IB experience count for anything in terms of other post-MBA finance options?
probably could pivot to asset management where the experience would be relevant
By AM do you mean the long only places? I thought those were quite competitive for those with pre mba experience.
