What universities do banks hire from in the UK from Masters courses?
Hi all,
What universities do banks directly recruit from in the UK? I'm thinking of doing an MBA or Masters. I'm keen to find out what universities investment banks will recruit directly from, MBA or masters students.
Will a masters in finance/economics cut it or would I need an MBA to be hired as say IBD Associate?
Thanks,
TG
Use the search function, this has been discussed numerous times.

Thanks for the input Orangutan. I didn't know they directly recruited from Imperial, I thought it would be LSE, LBS and Warwick for MBA candidates.
Masters generally leads to Analyst level entry in the UK. Recruiters obviously love Oxford, Cambridge, LSE. Additionally they seem to recruit from Imperial (often quant roles, unsurprisingly), UCL & Warwick. The power of referrals is strong (one email recommendation got me an interview invite at a BB in 24hrs).
In general though banks in the UK are less selective about uni (there is less of a target/non-target feel to things, it just gets slightly harder the further down the league tables you are.
Can't comment if an MBA will get you in at an associate.
