When to enter BSchool

For context, here are my stats:

  • Bachelors in Finance at semi-target with 3.5/4.0
  • 3+ internships and ~2-3 yrs of FT experience in IT consulting & tech. ops role
  •  a few leadership experiences and VP positions in Bachelor's days, worked at a few non-profits/volunteer orgs as well (nothing too crazy) post grad
  • Writing GRE soon - aiming for 160/160/5
  • Post MBA path: Product Management or Strategy Consulting - INSEAD is my top choice given their placements for both of these fields

I'm looking to see what my chances are at getting into:

  • INSEAD
  • North Western Kellog
  • Booth
  • Columbia
  • NYU

I'm debating two things:

  • Whether I should enter MBA in 2026 vs. 2027 -
    • The idea would be to switch into a better role for about 1-2 yrs as a way to boost my odds but that's not gauranteeed, so it may make sense to enter MBA sooner.
  • Odds of getting in at all given that the above are notoriously some of the best schools in the world.
