Which Companies Place well in S/W/C

the question is just that. Which companies place well in Stanford/Wharton/Columbia, besides BB i-banks and big consulting companies? Will a Forbes 200 company have an impact?

My understanding (which comes mainly from reading WSO, BW and a whole bunch of other forums) is that the school that cares the most about the pedigree of your pre-MBA employment is HBS, which favors the same high-profile employers that regularly come to campus (Goldman Sachs, McKinsey, Morgan Stanley, Bain, etc). Stanford makes a point of choosing likable people with atypical backgrounds, Wharton seems to mainly be interested in demonstrable talent, and I'm not really sure how Columbia chooses its students. I'm hoping someone who knows a lot more than me can give a view.

The truth is you're the weak. And I'm the tyranny of evil men. But I'm tryin', Ringo. I'm tryin' real hard to be the shepherd.
