I am doing a summer internship and people use excel for everything even if it can be done in word. A project brief doesn't need to be done in excel it can be done in word.

finance is all about calculating things....so of course excel is the natural place to do that. using excel to write a project brief is just being lazy out of habit...but if it works..then it works.
