Will working in the restaurant industry hurt my chances of getting an MBA?
Sorry if this type of topic is well known / often discussed, but second year real estate PE analyst and thinking about pursuing what I think is my passion and taking a risk to work in the restaurant industry. I think what is holding me back is the lack of a back up plan, though getting an MBA if it doesn't work out / I don't like it is generally my plan. However, would the time away from a finance career (assuming I'd want to get back into finance post-MBA) hurt my application profile?
