Would you choose YPSM or Oxbridge?
If you had an offer between any of Yale, Princeton, Stanford or MIT, along with an offer from one of Oxford or Cambridge, which would you rather choose?

Unless you’re British I don’t know why you’d choose Oxbridge over any of HYPSM.
Better name recognition + cheaper fees for Oxbridge compared with YPSM.
My grandparents are from South Asia, rural uneducated.
They won't really be familiar with YPSM but even they will have heard of Oxford/Cambridge.
That’s because your grandparents are from a Commonwealth country, and therefore are more exposed to British institutions.
Sure, in South Asia and in the greater Developing World, most laypeople will only know of Harvard, Oxford and maybe Cambridge, but I don’t know why the opinions of laypeople in the developing world would play much of a role in one’s decision over which university to attend.
But yeah if you wanna pick a university based purely on international name recognition then Harvard ≈ Oxford ≥ Cambridge > Stanford/MIT > Yale/Princeton
I brought up South Asia as an example of name recognition only to demonstrate the logic that if that name recognition exists in as remote a region as the one my grandparents are from, it likely exists elsewhere as well including in the developed world and other regions.
University is primarily a branding exercise from my perspective. You should want the best possible brand possible to maximise the best possible outcome eventually.
The people upvoting YPSM are statistically very likely to be American so it's a very American perspective on universities. For example, I don't think that hiring managers in Europe for example will be that familiar with Yale/Princeton.
Any employer worth working for will know HYPSM and Oxbridge.
If your life purpose is to impress a random villager then I guess Harvard and Oxford are the only unis worth attending.
