Yale Masters Program?
Does anyone know if Yale SOM has plans in the future to role out a 1 year finance oriented masters? I'm mostly referring to pre-experience (or at least pre a lot of experience) MFin MFE MSF type programs.
No idea but Yale SOM recently rolled out an executive MBA with a focus on Asset Management.
The 1-year mfin/mfe would be a great cash cow for SOM, but I'm not sure what their competitive edge would be here. I suppose the Yale name brand will help, but the dangers of a new program is that it doesn't yet have strong relationships and reputations with recruiters.
Yale has a Masters in Advance Management (http://som.yale.edu/our-programs/master-advanced-management), although it really isn't what you are looking at. IMO, they are really focusing on their MBA which is still the bread and butter for these top schools. I wouldn't expect them to roll anything else out until they have their MBA being ranked consistently pretty high.
