Year and a half before starting MBA; How to prepare for hirability?

If you were a year and a half from starting an MBA program, what would you do from this far out? Are there skills I should start learning? I want to make myself as hirable as possible for McKinsey / Bain.

Hell...I'd travel if I weren't working. Assuming you have the funds, go backpack around the world. Bring some essentials, an iPad to "study" and experience different cultures. It's something you won't be able to do later anyways. Plus it makes for an interesting conversation starter. People that I network with always love to talk about their travels.
