5th Year Masters to rerecruit?

Currently a junior at T10 undergrad studying CS & Maths -- didn't recruit for S&T and ended up with a consulting internship. Starting to think that S&T might suit me more given my background and interest in markets, but I have also heard how hard FT recruiting can be given that I don't have a relevant internship. I'm considering taking a 5th year to get my master's (which I have been considering doing regardless) -- would this let me recruit for S&T internships between my final year of undergrad and my masters, and has anyone had experience doing something like this?

Hey man I did something similar. Gonna be at a BB snt program this summer before I graduate from my master's. I think your profile would look pretty good especially for the more quantitative products. FT snt recruiting is I think pretty difficult even in the case where someone has relevant experience tbh because most analyst hires are made through the internship program. While banks place a heavier emphasis on prior experience, I think quant firms are a lot more flexible if you have the mathematically aptitude so you can also just recruit straight up for quant.
