ACT-commodities (?)
Basically saw these guys at LinkedIn, searching for traders. Has anyone experience with them and could say anything about them?
Some say it is sketchy, others claim they're serious.
Haven't worked there but they are 100% legit.
They're not an ABC by any means but they're still a reputable shop in their space.
ABC?
I'm talking about the Top shops... think louis dreyfus, glencore, vitol etc.

But could one use them as springboard after working there for a while (for experience*) in order to apply for other ABCs?
I’m somewhat familiar with them. They are really only active in the carbon credits space in the US, so not sure if that’s your goal or not. As for other commodities they only really trade those from their European office. For younger trading roles it’s a lot of cold calling and trying to sell, vs in depth analysis from what I can tell. If you get stuck covering a crappy market your upside is limited. Not sure about your exp level or what you’re looking for, so hard to tailor this comment for you...
agree, all day coldcalling to get a back to back deals done, if you work in a low liquidity market with thin margins you are fucked. Basically a glorified broker role, not sure how much better it gets at more senior roles.
