Activision Blizzard (ATVI) before earnings

Is anyone trading this before earnings at the bell today? Do any of you guys even follow this industry at all? ATVI had Diablo 3 this quarter which is the fastest selling PC game of all time and has sold many millions of copies. ATVI also continues to make money through the "Real Money Auction House" by taking a cut of every transaction.

Basically just wondering how to play this before earnings.

Thurnis HaleyThey seriously fucked up with Diablo 3. I would stay away from them.

Even for a short? I think there's a good short opportunity here going into earnings

I don't know anything about stock trading. I can only tell you things about the products themselves. And I would stay far away from Blizzard. Diablo 3 is fucked. They have nothing big coming up really and their 3 franchises are so stale it makes Nintendo looks innovative. And who knows when Titan will come out or if it will be anything of note? World of WarCraft is on a downward spiral. The expansions for Starcraft will not really help expand the customer base. The Activision side is in an even worse state than Blizzard, completely relying on the Call of Duty franchise. I mean the company's a joke. You have a multi-billion dollar publisher that has a total of 4 franchises. It's terrible.

Don't ever buy or short before earnings. it is like a guessing game. Even if you know their earnings are going to be better than expected, if there guidance is lowered, the stock will not do well.
