Activision Blizzard (ATVI) before earnings
Is anyone trading this before earnings at the bell today? Do any of you guys even follow this industry at all? ATVI had Diablo 3 this quarter which is the fastest selling PC game of all time and has sold many millions of copies. ATVI also continues to make money through the "Real Money Auction House" by taking a cut of every transaction.
Basically just wondering how to play this before earnings.
Short the fuck out of it. It's had it's hey dey, has nothing in the pipeline and a rapidly decreasing userbase. Earnings will be horrendous.
They seriously fucked up with Diablo 3. I would stay away from them.
Even for a short? I think there's a good short opportunity here going into earnings
Don't ever buy or short before earnings. it is like a guessing game. Even if you know their earnings are going to be better than expected, if there guidance is lowered, the stock will not do well.
