Advice Needed for Morgan Stanley Sales & Trading Off-Cycle Internship Interview

Hi everyone, I’ve just been invited to interview for the 2025 Sales & Trading Off-Cycle Internship in the Business Control Unit at Morgan Stanley in Paris. I’m super excited but also a bit nervous since it’s a great opportunity, and I want to be as prepared as possible. I’d really appreciate any advice on the following:

  1. What should I focus on revising? I’m particularly interested in trading and sales roles, but since this position is in the Business Control Unit, I’m not sure what topics or areas I should prioritize when preparing. Should I focus more on risk management, operational processes, or should I still brush up on market knowledge and financial products?
    1. What can I expect during the interview? Has anyone been through a similar process at Morgan Stanley or in a Sales & Trading role? Any idea on the kind of technical or behavioral questions they tend to ask?
    2. General tips for standing out? I want to make sure I leave a strong impression. Any advice on what skills or qualities Morgan Stanley typically looks for in candidates for this type of internship? Thanks in advance for your help! Any input is appreciated!
