Alpha Clone

Do you guys know about it? What do you think?

I found the link on marketfolly which I think is an amazing page.

Anybody some insights?

If I understand it correctly the page allows you to invest into HF portfolio replicates that have been built according to latest sec fillings (im new to this whole finance thing so please correct me if i am wrong)

It's pretty cool but not really useful if you just want to replicate the portfolios. You obviously only see the positions which HFs disclose, which can grossly misrepresent the fund's actual portfolio. Furthermore, that info might be three months old and the upside of any particular position might already be gone. However, if you try and reverse-engineer why a manager made certain bets, you could learn a lot.
