i have heard that prop trading is still alive, thanx to Bloomberg. I am not sure and wante your professional opinion. IS it alive and hiring.????

banks are hiring prop traders but they are putting them on the market-making desk. it is quite a scam, dont even get me started...
It's funny because i used to work on a prop desk at a big broker and they moved us away from the dealership market-making desk due to regulatory/legal issues...now they are all moving back due to the new regulations. That's the genius of government for you...
