Used search function and can't find a clear answer to this: How does compensation work for trading on a commission based desk (example sales-trading desk) at bulge bracket banks? I am assuming the compensation report for trading refers more to market makers. Is it just a cut of whatever commissions you bring in? I am talking about the higher levels, because I am assuming the first 1 or 2 years have the same compensation no matter what desk you are on.
