pacman00740k seems pretty damn low for any position at a BB.
thats true, even for a small city where cost of living is low. I got 40k as starting salary working for BB ops, but that was 4 years ago, before QE 1&2, so thats like today's equivalent of 60k.
Yeah when she told me what their offer was over the phone I almost choked. This particular BB is very distressed right now financially.. I'm sure it's not too hard to narrow down who it actually is. That may be one reason.
My situation - graduated last year non-target undergrad. Grades are mediocre. PWM internship only. Had a gig @ BB as compliance analyst till last week. Was going to shoot myself, but instead was able to move over to operations. My short-term goal is to be near the trading floor as either a trade assistant or trade support. Longterm goal is S&T.
I'm pretty sure this position pays more like 55-65k in NYC, but being as I'm in Charlotte, I was expecting at least 45k. I'm accepting tomorrow regardless. I need the exp to get a position up in NYC.

Tell em to pay you more haha
Absurdly low. I believe $60,000 is Street for Ops across the bulge bracket right now, no?
