The COO of a BB is phone interviewing you for an entry level position????? That can't be right...
ended up not being a crazy big deal... pretty much a nice conversation with a really interesting person. oh and alexpasch: that's the reason i asked. it seemed off to me too, and i didn't know if i should be excited, freaking out, or what thanks for the (polite) responses and help, everyone!
Are you sure he is the COO of the entire bank? That doesn't seem to make any sense at all.

Probably the COO of the Securities division, or they separate it by region too.
I wouldn't make too much of it, I'm in contact with a COO at a BB constantly, he even emails me to keep in touch lol. Management is management - they're not trading anymore and COOs do a lot for recruiting.
