I'm interested in pursuing a corn/ag trading career and am looking for good resources/reading to help give me more insight into the markets. I'm reading bloomberg, economist and WSJ but would like to know if any corn traders here have specific blogs/publications that they follow.
I don't know of anyone "Corn" specific blogs/publications, but there's tons of commodities sites and corn is usually amongst those most talked about.
Corn was disastrous for anyone who bought before the summer because of that killer drought. I'm guessing there's some traders hoping to make a hefty profit and decided to take a long position on corn.
USDA publishes monthly supply and demand estimates and other publications http://www.ers.usda.gov/ and this is more comprehensive than WSJ or bloomberg in terms of crop fundamentals
There are a few analysts followed within the space but they usually come at a cost and I don't think it's worth paying the sum if you are not already trading
