Better Place to Be in Current Market Environment: Debt or Equity?

Pretty self-explanatory. In the current market environment, with uncertainty for the foreseeable future, where is the ideal place to be and why? Feel free to talk about specific desks/products on debt/equity that usually withstand volatility & uncertainty well. Or just from a macro perspective, the pros and cons of each. Obviously, the idiosyncrasies of desks make the generalization of debt/equity difficult, but any points are welcomed.
