Bloomberg Help
I'll keep this short. Currently I'm a sophomore in the process of trying to obtain an equity research internship. I'm getting a few serious looks, but I'm looking for ways to set myself apart. I'm apart of the investment group at my school which gives me access to a bloomberg terminal. Here's my questions: 1) Is it worth putting in extra time to become very familiar with bloomberg? 2) Are there any good guides that I could read to get me started? 3) Do you have any advice you'd like to pass along on your experiences with Bloomberg?
I appreciate the read, and any response.

If you want to get into ER you should get bloomberg certified! Therefore, you need to go through the bloomberg tutorials and pass a general bloomberg test and a test for each asset class (equity, fixed income, FX, commodities). After registering, the tutorials pop up immediately. Do them and then pass the test. Takes you one day max. You can also put that on your resume...
Agree on the Bloomberg Cert. FYI, you can only take each test twice. When taking each test for the first time write down the answers b/c the questions are the same each time but in different order.
