Is this in the U.S, the U.K. or France? While their advisory division is a blip on the map, their S&T division is pretty solid in London. Not quite as quantitatively focused as SocGen, which is a good thing because they weren't as concerned with making ridiculously complicated and in the end utterly useless derivatives. Nonetheless, as with everything French, you better have solid math skills.

I would expect comp. slightly below what American BBs in London pay at the junior level and unless you're on one of their hottest desks, half of what others at BBs make at senior levels. Structuring at BNP in the last few years was a great gig, but that doesn't seem very promising for the foreseeable future.

Finally, if you're working in France, expect less comp, better benefits and an even stronger focus on your quant skills.
