Boston Equity Sales

I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on the Boston institutional equity scene. I’m about to start a job in AM wholesaling but have gained significant interest in this space as it seems more entrepreneurial/exciting compared to wholesale. My understanding is that the licensing is the same (7, 66). My only concern is that I have heard the equity sales space may be dying out. Any insights on the future of the job and possibility of pivoting is appreciated!
