BP Finance & risk Internship
Hi all, I am currently interviewing for BP's finance & risk internship program that is the main pipeline into their finance & risk graduate program. This is within their Trading & Shipping business. Im quite new to the commodity trading scene, and would like to have insights on whether a role in their graduate program could potentially lead into a more commercial role?
Some of the rotations would include: commodity risk (something like product control), market risk, operational excellence, credit risk, etc.
Thank you!

this is what i have heard from browsing on posts on WSO:
at the end of the grad program for trading and shipping you take a test. if you do well on the test they pass you onto a trading seat. if you do badly you are put into back office. dont know exactly what back office entails but either way you didnt make the cut and likely wont succeed or have much more impact within BP. However, given the pedigree of BP trading and shipping grad scheme, other commodity trading houses are very likely to pick you up.
I have a question for you, i've applied to the BP grad role and competed the tests for them. I was wondering how long you waited before receiving your interview offer.
best of luck!
