Capital Raising & Third Party Marketing

I am a medical student with current basic knowledge in corporate finance and capital markets and I am currently preparing for a selection process for an internship at a PE mid cap company with investments in pharma and medtech.
So far I have been working through the Rosenbaum IB, as well as 141 IB (Wiley Finance) and have read there about how the trading floor works, among other things.
I believe that learning how salespeople approach PE and HF capital raising in IB is important not only for career but also for later self-employment in the industry.
I would love to learn that. (Getting Sales for HF & PE, approaching HNW Investors ...)
What do you guys think?
