Chances of returning to S&T/IB after military / choices

Have a FT offer for a top-3 BB in trading following the summer (London), but have also begun my application to the UK military (Officer graduate programme).

Despite the good pay and interesting work, I'm having doubts as to whether this is really how I want to spend my best/fittest years, and I feel like the military could offer a bigger challenge for me - and a more interesting journey than getting fat & rich behind a Bloomberg terminal.

In a perfect world, I'd spend ~10 years in the forces and then look to transition out of the military back into IB/S&T. Is this something that can happen?

Very interested as to how you guys would approach this life-defining decision, and really appreciate any advice/general thoughts
