Citi Earnings Breakdown

Just came across a copy of Citi's Q2 financial statements, maybe in a bit of an attempt to forecast what we'll see this quarter, general impression is fixed income S+T is completely dominating in terms of percentage of revenue for example, just for the investment bank (it represents a whopping 67%)

even more crazy, is if you look at the entire revenue of the whole Citicorp in q2 (meaning consumer banking, transaction services, Asset Management, private banking, etc. globally), it still represents nearly 30% of revenues----

didn't realize how one-sided they were considering they're massive amount of retail branches globally

also fixed income dwarfs equities revenue by 5 to 1
