WL balance? I know I probably won’t be doing astronomical hours as an intern but I like the idea of working overtime. I guess I want to know how much OT hours managers usually allow interns to get
Last summer in IB I never had to receive manager approval for OT hours. I just worked the hours necessary for me to complete my work, and HR would approve every payroll. I'm not sure if my manager had to sign off on hours along with HR, but if they did I never had an issue with it.
around 50-55 is average hours. Quants usually are assigned an interesting summer project (desk dependent), but usually never gets used hence it's a chill environment.
