Coking coal commodities role

I just accepted a role at a trading house as a coking coal operator. It is a small firm and path to trading is relatively good given the fast paced growth of the firm. However given that coal does seem to be a shrinking industry, I would just like to ask what are the prospects of a coking coal trader and how does it compare to other commodities such as energy or metals ?
