Hi. I am trying to cold call for a Trainee Trader or Trader Assistant position. I am not sure which department should I ask the HR to redirect my call. Should I go for Trading & Sales or some specific desk eg: Equities ?
And i heard that its better not to call the trader when the mlarket opens ..

Obviously calling when market is open is not a good time to call a desk. Use your head man. If you cold call don't ask for a desk, get a name.
Call 30min-hr after mkt closes...ask for a specific person and have a good pitch ready. prepare to be hung up on

i am from hk, i doubt about cold calling in asia countries but i will give it a try very soon once i get a list of firms that i want to call.
