Corporate Banking to S&T?
Landed a Corporate banking internship for this summer at a bank (think SMBC, MUFG, HSBC). Was wondering how difficult it would be to pivot into the S&T division full time either at same bank or different one?
Pretty different skillsets. Having met many people on both S&T side and Corp Bank side at JPM/Citi/etc over my career - I can definitely say the more senior you get the more impossible it becomes. Definitely do it as an analyst if you can, that's the only time where I could see that being potentially possible,
