Crazy ex threatens my work
Hi I have an issue, I had a bad breakup with a girl who is unstable. She is threatening to come to my work place, where I work as a 1st year rotational analyst. I am not sure what she can do, she does have a few sexual messages from me, so if she tries to share that with anyone from work, family it will look really bad.
Please am I overreacting to her threat? Thanks

Mostly sexting, and a few fights where I'd apologised to her or message her continously to see if she was ok.

i went thru EXACTLY THIS a few years back...don't worry...its all empty threats. Most likely these girls have either BiPolar or Borderline Personality Disorder. And while, yeah, they will do some crazy stuff.....they make 10x the threats vs what they will actually follow thru on...and they will lie lie LIE to get your attention.
Borderline Personality girls tends to come along with fear of abandonment, substance abuse and gambling addiction. They are very exciting in the beginning.,..and a nightmare at the end. Don't worry tho....you are not the 1st guy in finance to have to deal with this.
Just tell the girl "i'm sorry, but i'm just not into our relationship anymore....i don't have those feelings anymore...its over...i want to move on"
This gives the girl closure. Then tell the guys at work that your crazy exgf is harassing you...and ask them to not entertain speaking with her if she calls.
Also, don't beg the girl to not contact your family or work...just try to create distance ith zero emotion. Go ahead and tell your family and work that you broke up with your exGF and she isn't taking it very well. Ask them to not give her any info if she calls.
She will eventually hook up with somebody else...and then won't be your problem anymore.
Thanks man. I made the mistake of keep going back when she would ask and kept following with her craziness. The toxicity was crazy... bunch if heated messages but nothing i said was indicative of being physically or aggressively violent.
My logical part agrees she cant do much but you never know what to expect from the wrath of scorned woman.
Damn but you are bang in with the potential bipolar part something which at the end of it made me think am I crazy as well. Glad to know I am not the only one. Hoping this goes away.
dude...i've been thru it all....after i broke up with her, my exGF told me she was pregnant (she wasn't)...she made all the threats...told me i owed her and that i needed to pay off her credit card...pretended to swallow a bottle of pills and say that she'd kill herself if i broke up with her...all sorts of crazy stuff...i've literally seen it all.
The good part, for you, is that all us senior guys know a guy who has gone thru something similar...so its not surprising. Nobody will believe anything she says about you...so don't worry. Just assume she is always recording you...so don't say or do anything that can be used against you (this is good future life advice as well)
Block her on all outlets - text, social media, etc... Show a picture of her with the threats to front desk security and ask them very nicely to prevent here from coming up.
