CS Course Selection Quesiton
Hi All,
I'm a rising senior, Computer Science major, and I am currently in the process of selecting my final courses. I have an opportunity to take one of two CS graduate level courses and I am curious to see which one would benefit me more in pursuing a career in Algo Trading / Quantitative Finance.
Course 1- Distributed Software Development, Topics Include: Internet application development, including server-side technologies such as scripting languages, template frameworks, web page mining, and distributed computing issues such as peer-to-peer, multi-cast, and distributed agents.
Course 2 - Artificial Intelligence Programming, Topics Include: Search strategies, knowledge representation, and other topics chosen from: simulated annealing, constraint satisfaction, logical and probabilistic reasoning, machine learning, expert systems, natural language processing, neural networks, genetic algorithms, and fuzzy logic.
Thanks for your help in advance.
Course 2 in a heartbeat. Not only are most of those topics useful for algo trading, but they're immensely fun too :).
