Delicate situation

So I ended up getting an Asset Management internship at a BB. The problem is, it's not trading and I only took it because I couldn't get into trading. I have been dropping subtle hints but my mid-summer performance review is coming up and I am wondering if I should be more direct in terms of asking for more trading related projects/telling them straight up trading is what I want to switch to. My bosses are good guys who I'm sure would help me, but I don't want to create bad blood without even an offer from them to leverage.

What should I do?

start the conversation as a question. aske them the pros and cons of your current AM work and trading. show some interest in the pros of trading, and plant that idea in their head. if you are worth your salt they may help you.
Very nice tactic, +1 for you when I have bananas again.
