ECM & DCM vs S&T Comp
Title says most of it. Spare me the monkey shit, I know there is a lot of variability in comp between the two/three (esp. S&T) but GENERALLY for the average incoming analyst, where is more money made?
Thanks!

Career Resources
Based on the most helpful WSO content:
Compensation Comparison: ECM/DCM vs. S&T
ECM/DCM: - Base Salary: Generally the same as IB for analysts. - Bonus: If your bank is leading a lot of new bond issues, the bonus shouldn't be much lower than IB. - Career Path: Syndication roles in DCM can be particularly interesting and valuable, offering opportunities to interact with buyside fixed income PMs and S&T from your bank.
S&T: - Early Career: S&T analysts are often doing grunt work and being paid to learn, which might result in lower initial compensation compared to banking analysts. - Growth Potential: S&T has the potential for serious compensation and growth, but it also comes with the risk of a shorter career with fewer transferable skills. - Autonomy: Associates in S&T often have their own trading books/client lists early in their careers, which can lead to a nice living and more autonomy.
