Equity Sales - Compensation Progression
Hi all,
Wondering what comp progression would look like in equity sales at a top BB (GS/MS). The accounts equity sales manage can bring in some serious revenue, but also understand it can be complicated diffusing how much of that is the bank vs salesperson owning the relationship.
What is typical comp progression for associate + beyond? If you're covering, i.e, Schroders, or able to scale with a client that starts doing 20mn business with the bank, and multiply that over dozens of clients, I have to imagine you can demand some serious comp.

Not very good in my experience (only broke $200k TC for first time as As3). Following along for any other comments, though.
Equity sales, US/Top BB?
Yes…GS/MS/JPM
Mind if I PM you a few questions?
That's surprising. I'm only entering the industry now, and granted the recent pay bumps should expedite the timeline, but I would've thought 200k TC would've been broken by AN3 or AS1 latest. Given GS' AS1 base is 150k now, people will be breaking 200k TC then, possibly in AN2. I'd expect MS/JPM to be similar, though I could be wrong...
