European SA recruiting

Hi all,

So obviously it's quite early to be thinking about 2011 SA recruiting but I'm a planner by nature and have the "unpleasant affliction" of being Canadian. I'm looking to pursue an S&T summer internship next summer, preferably in Europe (London, Paris, Geneva, Zurich, etc. in Western Europe). I will already be in Europe for exchange for winter semester 2011, and I don't see the point in coming back after. As i don't have Capital IQ, what might be the best firms to apply to in terms of size of intern class, prestige, desks (I'm a rates, commodities and currencies kinda guy interested in Global Macro HF in the long term)? I just want to get an idea of where opportunities lie so I can start preparing.

Thanks for any and all feedback....

N.B. I'm a native French speaker so might that be an asset in francophone offices in France, Switzerland etc...?

UBS' program in Lugano Switzerland is excellent for S&T,; however, the particular branch im thinking of is in lugano switzerland, but it is the italian speaking portion of the country. hwoever they all speak english at the office!

Is the Lugano, Switzerland program an SA program or an internship program (3-6 months year round) as are most of UBS' swiss-based programs? Do you have a link for additional info on it? Thanks alot.
